Arthropodium cirratum ‘Te Puna’

From $12.90

Arthropodium Te Puna is a plant with exceptional garden performance. It thrives in dry shade – a location which is typically difficult to find suitable plants for. Te Puna is a dwarf rock lily native to New Zealand. Here in Australia it performs exceptionally well, rewarding with a mass of white flowers during the spring and summer period. The white flowers provide lovely illumination to dark corners of the garden.

This variety is dainty, but will also provide home gardeners with a hardy tufting plant. It also lends itself to both domestic and commercial landscape plantings where its proved to be successful in a wide range of environments planted under trees, in the shade of buildings and mass planted around car parks and other open spaces. An excellent choice for tough, dry, shady conditions!

Care

Feed in spring with a slow release fertiliser and remove flower stems as they fade in order to encourage more to develop. Water requirements are very low, making it a great choice for water wise sites. Mulching around plants will aid with water retention in the soil and cool the roots of plant through extended periods of heat. Protect from frosts and snails to optimum results.
