A dwarf growing shrub which is easily kept to under one metre in height with little pruning. Attracting butterflies, small birds and insects, Buddleja is an asset in any garden. Its beautiful spiked, scented, velvety midnight purple flowers will not disappoint.

Terrific as a mass border plant, in a mixed garden, or even in a pot.

Care

Grows well in sunny to semi-shaded positions. Flowers are almost constant year round in most climates. Will thrive in most soil types, an application of a complete fertiliser to the garden bed in spring after the main pruning promotes vigorous growth.  During the year trim back the older growth when flowers are showing signs of slowing off and getting smaller. For pot planting use a good quality potting mix and a slow release fertiliser.
