Better John™ Callistemon has been bred from Little John. It’s a native shrub that is quicker to establish, easier to grow and has better foliage colour than Little John, all while keeping Little John’s great small height and beautiful bottlebrush flowers.

Better John™ Callistemon flowers from mid to late spring and its mature foliage is blue-grey, but its new growth will have a silver tone due to the soft hairy texture.

Care

Requires full sun to part shade and works in sandy to well drained soils. Green John Callistemon is drought tolerant and has low to moderate frost tolerance. Water well until established and prune as required.
