Great Balls of Fire is celebrated for its dense compact habit and the intense red hues of its emerging new growth. Growing to a height of around 1.75m and with a similar spread, this plant is ideal as a hedge with impact.
Ornamental year round, C. ‘Great Balls of Fire’ makes a fantastic structural addition to native or exotic gardens alike.
Care
Select a sunny location in most soil types that are well draining. Regular pruning to shape, and being fed with a slow release fertiliser formulated for natives in spring is all that’s required to keep this plant looking it’s best in your garden. Flowers can occur, but typically do not in situations where the plant is pruned to shape. For hedging space plants up to 50cm apart.
