Desert Star is an attritive evergreen shrub that produces fragrant white flowers among its glossy rounded leaves.  Its compact growth habit and drought tolerance make it a perfect choice for rockeries, hedging, as a feature plant or in patio containers.

Care

Carissa Desert Star grows well in most soil types, in particular well draining soil. Position Carissa Desert Star in an area of full sun to part shade. Once established, Carissa Desert Star is usually drought tolerant but will benefit from watering throughout the summer season. Carissa Desert Star requires low maintenance. Prune to shape as required after flowering and apply an all purpose fertiliser in spring.
