Philodendrons have long been popular house plants and this lovely, easy-to-grow variety is the ideal gift for everyone. Being tolerant of low light, poor soil, and irregular watering makes ‘Brasil’ a great ‘1st-time’ house plant and will encourage that Plant-Life Balance and appreciation of nature we all need in our lives.

‘Brasil’ is a fast growing vining plant that is perfect on shelves and bookcases as well as hanging pots. They brighten the room with their graceful heart-shaped leaves of dark green with the bright lime-yellow variegation in the center.

Care

‘Brasil’ will do well in loose well-draining soil containing organic matter or spagnum moss. Some soil-less mixes containing peat will also work well. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Try not to over-water. Bright, indirect light is ideal, near windows or in part-shady areas outside. Direct sunlight should be avoided during those hour in the middle of the day. Feed with a balanced indoor fertilizer monthly and less during the cooler months.
