Carex fascicularis is a rhizomatous, tufted sedge with soft lime green arching leaves. Pendulous green flowers and seed pods appear between September and November. This native clumping grass occurs naturally along watercourses and swamps, growing in black peaty sand. Great for revegetation projects along lakes and dams where it provides a good habitat for water birds. An excellent ornamental plant for planting in and around ponds and water features.

Prefers a position in full sun to part shade with well drained soil, however is able to tolerate both wet and dry soils. Carex fascicularis will grow to 60cm x 60cm.
